Commercial (CPAER)

Having achieved your PPL, the next step in your training includes working towards a Commercial Pilot License. To apply for this license, you need to have completed a minimum of 80 hours commercial pilot aeroplane ground school instruction. In addition, you need to have obtained a minimum of 60% in four mandatory areas (air law, navigation, meteorology and aeronautics) as well as the overall written exam Commercial Pilot License - Aeroplane (CPAER).

While there is still dual flight instruction and solo practice, much of your study at this stage is likely self-motivated. Again, the amount and quality of self-study for the CPAER will go a long way to reducing exam preparation time and result in a higher retention of critical knowledge. ACE is developed by flights instructors with years of experience teaching commercial students.
